CMQ Resources has focused principally on the exploration of its Vasquir and Montezuma properties in Nevada. Each of these two areas represents large scale gold mineralization targets close to established infrastructure and in areas of low political risk. In May 2004, CMQ signed a Strategic Alliance with a subsidiary of Gold Fields Limited coincident with Gold Field's initial investment in CMQ . That agreement was renewed in December 2006 with Gold Field's increasing its investment in CMQ to $6.57 million at an average cost of $0.61 per share on a basic basis.
